Felix Del Tredici is currently based in his hometown of Montreal, Canada. The New York Times has described Del Tredici as an “extraordinarily versatile trombonist” who gives performances that are “disturbing yet fascinating” and “hair-raisingly virtuosic”. Del Tredici is an improviser, interdisciplinary artist, and a strong advocate for new music. He studied at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, as well as the Musik Akademie in Basel, Switzerland. He is a member of Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, the Fonema Consort, and the New York Trombone Consort, and has performed with Ensemble Transmission, Ensemble Signal, and Klangforum Wien. Felix is a research assistant at Matralab, and collaborates closely with the Topological Media Lab.
